My passion for art and design is hereditary. I get my artistic abilities from my grandmother. The inspiration to focus on interior design is from my mother and all the interior magazines that came to her in the mail when I was growing up.

When Lauren wants to relax

Hiking is my go-to way to unwind, but I also travel as much as I can, and get excited to experience new things. One of my favorite adventures was visiting my best friend in Paris with my husband. We went to the Palace of Versailles, and walking through the Hall of Mirrors was something I will never forget. Gorgeous! And recently, my husband and I have the chance to visit Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Italy.

Her first job

My first job was babysitting. I learned not to take three kids out of the house without taking a stroller!

If You Give a Mouse a Cookie Book

Recommended reading

I enjoy reading Interior Design and Architectural books for inspiration and to keep up on the trends. However, my favorite book of all time is "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie." I don’t think I’ll ever I never grow too old for it, and I always crack up when I read it to my nephews (I have three of them!).

Thoughts about working at RLPS

I love to come to work every day, so I would say that means I’m following the right path. My favorite thing about RLPS is the people. I love combining creative ideas and getting real feedback before presenting my ideas to our clients. Teamwork is great!
