Jessica Jack, IIDA, LEED AP
Whether I am designing a space that fuels the creativity of a seven-year-old or calms the nerves of a patient in the Emergency room, it is thinking about the people that I am serving that pushes me to design the very best.

Jessica’s first job
My first job was a retail position at the local mall. I spent that summer under the fluorescent lights, unhappily upselling cardigan sets. That winter I began swimming every day and took my lifeguarding exam. I spent many summers after that in the sunshine swinging a silver whistle on a red rope. I taught swim lessons and aqua aerobics and every day was an adventure. I learned over those summers that if you love your job, working will never feel like work.

Favorite musical artist or genre
I have a very eclectic taste in music depending on the day, the weather or the situation, and can be found listening to 90’s rap, country or Broadway show tunes, to name a few.
Jessica’s most prized possession
Every year, since my daughter was born, I make a photo yearbook. It contains conversations that I never want to forget, and memories of our adventures. While I love “stuff” as much as the next person, it is these photos and memories that I hold most dear.

When she needs to relax
I head outdoors. I head to the woods, lock my phone in my car and just go. Sometimes I run, sometimes I hike and sometimes I just lay in the grass; if you throw in a beautiful overlook and a good book, then you’ve just found my personal nirvana.
