The Owl’s Nest Bistro is the main attraction for a new town community of apartments, townhomes and carriage homes. Display cooking and a hearth oven highlight the food preparations, but the main focus of this hospitality space is the view. Two sides of the bistro are lined with tall storefront windows looking out onto the community main street.
Nature-inspired material selections include wood-patterned tile, copper and brushed copper accents, and a warm brown color palette with pops of bronze, gold and deep blue. Taking a cue from biophilic design principles, a ceiling cloud feature with natural tile base emulates the form of a tree canopy over comfortable banquette seating.
An adjacent fireside lounge provides a flexible gathering space that can also accommodate overflow from the bistro when needed. The highlights of this hospitality space are a contemporary fireplace with flanking bench seats and a handcrafted barn door that allows for secure separation between the bistro and lounge. A billiards/game room provides an informal gathering area that incorporates comfortable seating, a large screen television and game tables.
