Director of Client Services
My biggest motivator is positive feedback from our clients. Hearing that they are happy or looking forward to another project with RLPS makes me feel good about what we do. I am equally motivated by our staff members’ positive energy and enthusiasm. Sometimes people will ask to be included on a team even before we know if our firm has been selected.

Her early career aspirations
I wanted to be a veterinarian, until I learned that this career path involves a lot more than petting and cuddling cute animals all day. I was pretty young when my dreams of being a veterinarian were crushed, but I remember it being my first dream job.
The one thing she needs every day
Coffee. Also, exchanging “I love yous” with my fiancé – every morning and night. That's two things, but I really can't skip either. I also couldn't live without cheese, pizza or buffalo wings, even though I don't need to have them every day. That's probably a very good thing since they’re not the healthiest picks.
Lessons learned at one of her first jobs
Not one of my first jobs, but one that I learned a lot of life skills from was bartending. You have to think fast, communicate efficiently and listen. It’s also a job that very quickly helps you develop people skills.
When Sarah wants to relax . . .
I love to read a lot of different types of books and publications. It's typical for me to be in the middle of reading two or three books at one time. My favorite place to read is anywhere that I can have my dog, Hines, curled up next to me. My favorite book is Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom. It is packed with simple life lessons that we often overlook or forget to remember. I've read it from start to finish three times and have referred back to dog-eared pages countless times over the years.
