Kristin Hovermale, Associate IIDA, LEED Green Associate
I am fascinated by the interactions people have within spaces and how interior design can enhance people’s well-being, safety and happiness. As an interior designer, I enjoy making technical design decisions to create safe environments while balancing creativity to encourage positive interactions.

Kristin's signature pieces
Ankle boots and scarves are my favorites. I love fall and the wardrobe that goes with the season!
Her most prized possession
My scrapbooks and journals from my travels are prized possessions. Looking back through my scrapbooks always brings back the great memories from my trips. My most memorable trip was to Barcelona, Spain. I lived there for three months and really appreciated the opportunity to immerse myself in the culture. But my favorite trip was taking a European cruise with my family and seeing so many great cities throughout Europe.
A few of her favorite things . . .
Being from Maryland, I love crabs! Crab cakes are my favorite, but I also love cream of crab soup and pretty much anything with crab. I’m am also a huge fan of music and love going to concerts. My favorite genre is rock and anything acoustic, but I really enjoy live music!
Kristin’s proudest accomplishment
Moving to a totally new city on my own and following my dream career to become an interior designer was a big step for me. I moved to the area for graduate school and it took a lot of courage to take that leap but I couldn’t be happier!
